I contacted Microsoft Answers again on Tuesday evening, a different support person suggested that I contact Dell for their latest drivers because she believes both the initial two issues and the Conexant SmartAudio one are driver issues. In addition, her fix did not fix the Tread stuck issue either. I find it crazy that something got introduced during her fix and I then have to pay to get it fix, therefore I did not move forward with having her fix this. The support person said this is not from her fix or is an Windows update related issue. On restarting my pc after she ran what she ran, the Catalyst message no longer shows up, but then this "Failed to create ConexantĪudio Factory, the Smart Audio will now exit" message came up for the first time ever since the update couple weeks ago. I contacted Microsoft Answers via chat this Monday evening and the support person ran something to fix the Catalyst issue.
